It raises a large number of animals, including cows and goats, and manufactures and sells milk, yogurt, and other dairy products, as well as cheesecakes and other sweets. Since its establishment in 1899 (Meiji 32) of the famous chestnut yokan on the front sidewalk of Narita-san, the company's most popular confections have been chestnut yokan (1zao, 1575 yen), chestnut steamed yokan (1zao, 735 yen and up), and peanut-shaped peanut monaka (8 pieces, 1,050 yen). The Narita Yokan Museum is located on the premises (admission free; hours: 10:00-16:00; open daily).
Chomeisen” is a local sake made in Narita City from high quality water. The brewery was inspired by the quality of the water during a visit to Narita-san at the end of the Edo period. It is the only locally brewed sake made with Narita's underground water and is recommended as a Narita souvenir.
